AL Habib Asset Management Limited is looking for a talented and self-driven individual for the position of Manager – Corporate Governance.

WE ARE HIRING

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Corporate Affairs to join our team at AL Habib Asset Management Limited. Manager Corporate Affairs will be responsible for managing secretarial compliances for the Company, and the Funds under its management in accordance with applicable laws.

Position: MANAGER CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Company Secretary in organizing Board and shareholders’ meetings, preparing agenda papers, notices, and other relevant documents.
Circulate notices, allied documents and minutes of the board and general meetings to the directors and shareholders in a timely manner.
Assist the Company Secretary in ensuring compliance with the companies Act, the Code of Corporate Governance Regulations, NBFC Regulations, CDC Regulations, and other applicable laws.
File various documents/forms with the registrar, regulator, PSX, etc., on a timely basis.
Collaborate with legal counsel and lawyers to address statutory and legal matters of the Company.
Draft relevant agreements, contracts, and any other related documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or related field (from a reputable university) – Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) or similar professional qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Location: Karachi – Head Office.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to asset management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Compliance Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Monitoring Activities: Help monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies through regular audits and assessments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including training sessions, audits, and incident reports.
Training Coordination: Assist in organizing and conducting training for employees on compliance-related topics.
Risk Assessment: Participate in risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend solutions.
Reporting: Prepare reports on compliance activities and present findings to the Compliance Manager.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and facilitate information sharing.

QUALIFICATION

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience: At least 2–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role.
Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
