TransKarachi, the Project Implementation Agency of the Karachi Red Line BRT, is inviting candidates for the following positions in Karachi.

Position is contractual.

Hiring would be done through a rigorous selection process strictly based on merit.

1. Company Secretary

Openings: 1
About the Role: The Company Secretary will report directly to the CEO and Board of Directors (BOD), ensuring compliance with Corporate Governance Rules, the Companies Act, 2017, established Board procedures and all applicable SECP/SOE laws, rules, regulations, and best-practice standards, oversee the Company’s legal affairs, including managing disputes, coordinating with legal counsel, and following up on legal cases; and perform any other duties assigned by Management or the Board of Directors.
Qualification: The candidate must be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants; or a member of a recognized body of corporate or chartered secretaries; or hold a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Experience: For candidates holding a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law, a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience is required. Relevant experience in corporate governance, company secretarial matters, legal affairs, compliance, or working with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) will be considered an advantage.

2. Procurement Specialist

About the Role: The Procurement Specialist will manage and oversee the overall procurement in a transparent, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, Procurement rules, regulations, and procurement guide-Specialist lines, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Procurement Regulations, Sindh Public Procurement Rules, and Public Procurement Rules.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s, preferably Master’s degree in engineering, management, or relevant field. Preferably 10 years experience in procurement and/or contract administration. Experience in project procurement and contract administration in BRT infrastructure and similar nature projects. Well-versed in ADB and World Bank as well as GoP procurement guidelines for works, goods, and services. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Minimum General Experience: 12 Years
- Minimum Specific Experience (relevant to assignment): 10 Years
- Regional/Country Experience in similar project: Required

3. Manager Implementation

About the Role: The Manager Implementation will have overall responsibility for the construction of Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor. He/she will manage and oversee all aspects of the construction process from hiring of contractors through final completion. He/she will oversee the performance of all contractors making sure that the project is completed within the pre-scribed timeframe, quality and funding parameters.
Qualification: Master’s degree in civil engineering / construction management / project management / management or related discipline with Bachelor in civil engineering from an HEC-recognized university. Foreign qualification will be considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience including 5 years as a construction manager. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in similar sector is highly desirable. Role advantage.

4. Manager Human Resources

Openings: 1
About the Role: The Manager Human Resources will support effective HR management, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies while strengthening workforce effectiveness, employee engagement, and overall operational efficiency.
Qualification: First Class Master’s degree preferably in Public/HRM/Business Administration/IR.
Experience: Minimum 10-years experience in relevant field, preferably in a responsible position equivalent to basic pay scale 17 and above in Government/Semi Government/public sector organization. Experience in urban infrastructure with complex working conditions will be given preference. Have well-versed experience of drafting HR manual for companies focusing on remuneration framework and career progression.

5. Assistant Manager Procurement

About the Role: The Assistant Manager Procurement will support and carry out the procurement functions in a transparent, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and procurement guide-Manager lines, including Asian Development Bank (ADB) Procurement Rules, and Public Procurement Rules, Procurement Regulations, Sindh Public Procurement Rules, and Public Procurement Rules.
Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Professional training/certifications in procurement and other relevant areas will be considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant, post-qualification experience. Demonstrated experience in donor-funded procurement, preferably under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Procurement Regulations, as well as experience with the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) rules and systems. A minimum of 2 years of experience with the ADB/WB procurement system is highly desirable. Relevant international work experience will be considered an added advantage.

6. Assistant Manager Environment

Openings: 1
About the Role: Assistant Manager – Environment will ensure that all activities planned and implemented by the Company and its projects comply with applicable national and international environmental safeguard requirements.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a relevant discipline from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university. Foreign qualifications will be considered an added advantage.
Experience: At least 7 years of post-qualification relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, is highly desirable.
