CAREER OPPORTUNITIES (TEACHING POSITIONS)

Applications are invited from the candidates on the prescribed form (including attested photocopies of all relevant documents and demand draft / pay order of Rs. 4000/- in favor of the Treasurer, University of Mirpurkhas and should reach undersigned on or before 15 May 2025 for the under mentioned posts. The prescribed application form(s) can be downloaded from the website www.umk.edu.pk or can be obtained from Office of the Registrar, University of Mirpurkhas.

Professor (BPS-21) Disciplines: Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, Commerce Qualification: PhD from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field. Experience: 15-year teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution. OR 10 years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in a HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution. Research Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals).

Associate Professor (BPS-20) Disciplines: Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, Commerce Qualification: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution. Experience: 10-year teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution. OR 5 years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution. Research Publications: The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals).

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) Disciplines: Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, Commerce Qualification: PhD in relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution. The candidate will be given preference to those with publications in highly reputed Journals in at least Y category.

Lecturer (BPS-18) Disciplines: Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, English, Commerce Qualification: First Class MS/MPhil/equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career. The condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as Lecturer in Universities/Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz. PhD or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in the entire academic career. Preference will be given to those with publications in highly reputed Journals in at least Y category.

INSTRUCTIONS / FURTHER INFORMATION:

Candidates applying for the post of Professor and Associate Professor should submit four (04) copies of their bio-data/C.V. along with required Research Papers and other relevant documents showing details of publications, impact factor, research projects, etc., and funding.
Need to submit the reference letter from the previous employer/already working.
Candidates having 3rd Division are ineligible.
Candidates serving in Government / Semi-Government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel and submit NOC at the time of interview, and will be responsible for getting themselves relieved properly from their departments.
Qualifications and experience shall be calculated/examined as on the closing date of submission of applications.
Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application form(s) along with separate bank draft with necessary documents for each post.
Incomplete applications and without educational, professional, and experience certificates, CNIC and other relevant documents and those received after the due date shall not be entertained.
The envelope should be marked with the post applied for.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
Only short-listed candidates shall be called for test/interview.
Degrees must be from HEC recognized Universities/Institutions.
A candidate having professional degrees (LLB/MBBS/Engineering etc.) recognized by the HEC Pakistan.
Condition of Master’s (foreign) mentioned in the eligibility criteria means Master’s degree awarded with at least CGPA 3.00/4.00 or equivalent, from HEC recognized Institutions with Pakistan’s HEC equivalent certificate.
Maximum age limit for all positions is under two years contract likely to be extended.
These positions are in accordance with the Government of Sindh’s Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Policy.
