SITUATION VACANT: The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, offers challenging opportunities for employment of the Member (Adaptation) in Pakistan Climate Change Authority, a body corporate working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, in line with section 6(1) of the Pakistan Climate Change Act, 2017. Experience in relevant fields is mandatory.

Qualification & Experience:
The Member (Adaptation) shall be a scientist, academician, professional, serving or retired government servant, industrialist, agriculturist, or other technocrat with at least fifteen (15) years’ experience in fields related to climate change and the environment, with a distinguished service record. The required qualification is a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in fields related to Climate Change & Environment.

Maximum Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is 62 years (to be calculated as on the closing date of submission of applications).

Terms & Conditions:

Disqualification: No person shall be eligible for, or hold the appointment as Member (Adaptation) if they:
(a) Have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from service as a consequence of disciplinary proceedings.
(b) Have been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction for an offense involving moral turpitude or corruption.
(c) Were not or are not a citizen of Pakistan at the time of appointment or thereafter.
(d) Benefited from the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007 (Lx of 2007).
Civil Servants/Government Servants may apply through the proper channel if eligible. Applications will be dealt with under the MP Scales Policy, 2020.
Individuals employed under MP Scales must submit an affidavit declaring non-involvement in any business/job that may conflict with the position.
Those already employed in MP Scale positions will continue to be governed under the MP Scales Policy, 2020, including tenure, performance evaluation, and contract extension. The incumbents’ tenure will be calculated from the date of their initial appointment, whether through a competitive process or otherwise.
