POSITIONS VACANT: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is looking for suitable candidates for appointment against following positions on contract basis.

Position 1: DGM (Paint Shop)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from recognized university; relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

• Minimum 15 – 20 years of relevant experience preferably in shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy engineering, marine, fabrication, painting or a related industrial environment.

• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, planning and team management skills.

• Ability to work effectively under demanding production schedules and manage multiple project requirements simultaneously.

• Age: Up to 55 years.

Position 2: Manager (Contract Management)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE / B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Industrial & Management / Automotive / Mechatronics from recognized institution.

• Additional qualification of MBA / BBA (Supply Chain / Marketing) will be preferred.

• Minimum 08 years’ hands-on experience for BE, 10 years for B.Tech & 15 – 20 years for DAE candidates in PPRA Rules and standard bidding documents with practical expertise in contract administration, performance monitoring, payments and contract closure.

• Candidates having PPRA procurement or contract management training certification with other professional credentials such as CIPS or PMP skills will be preferred.

• Age: Up to 55 years.

Position 3: DM (Engineering Design)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification / Experience:
  • BE / B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Industrial & Management / Automotive / Mechatronics) from recognized institution.

• Minimum 05 years’ hands-on experience for BE and 08 – 10 years for B.Tech / DAE candidates in Mechanical design, engineering drawing and drafting of heavy mechanical and industrial equipment like Barrage gates, Pressure vessels, Industrial storage tanks, heat exchangers and related process equipment, mechanical equipment and components used in oil and gas facilities, fabrication, assembly, installation and general arrangement drawings for industrial equipment’s and heavy steel structures.

• Candidates having practical working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER (Pro/E) and ANSYS software will be preferred.

• Age: Up to 45 years.

Position 4: Supervisor (Ship Planning)

• No. of Posts: 02

• Qualification / Experience:
  • B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent.

• Minimum 05 – 10 years of experience in similar supervisory role within a shipyard or marine environment.

• Candidates having project management skills with proficient in MS Office will be preferred.

• Age: Up to 45 years.
