JOB TITLE Network Engineer – NOC
LOCATION Karachi – PK
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Day-to-day GPON network performance monitoring
- Support customers on call & over the email
- Network troubleshooting & fault analysis to resolve the issue.
- Ensuring maximum possible service availability and performance to TES customers.
- Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of BRAS would be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF); Quality of Service; 1 Ethernet (STP, RSTP, .1q VLANs). Â
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi standards and Mid to Advanced level of troubleshooting.
SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
- Oral and written communication skills
- Technical & Troubleshooting Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 to 2 years of pertinent experience is required.
- A minimum requirement includes a university degree in Telecommunications.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the NOC department.
