Exciting Opportunity: Trainee Engineer – Part Development
Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Thal Engineering is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Engineer – Part Development to support the timely development of parts for assemblies and sub-assemblies of automobiles within the Thermal Systems Business. The role provides hands-on exposure to part localization, vendor coordination and process improvement activities under the supervision of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and monitoring of new and current model local parts as per the master plan.
Support cost estimation and feasibility studies for new part development.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely part development and compliance with quality standards.
Participate in vendor visits and audits to monitor manufacturing processes.
Support the QA team in conducting vendor evaluations and improvement initiatives.
Assist in maintaining documentation related to Engineering Change Information (ECI).
Contribute to continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and other departmental initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Automotive Engineering (fresh graduates or those with up to 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic understanding of manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
