VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, LOK VIRSA
Services of a dynamic and qualified full-time professional are required for the senior position of the Executive Director in the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa), Islamabad.
Pay Package: Pay package equivalent to MP-II (in terms of Finance Division’s instructions).
Tenure: The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for a period of three (03) years, further extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Performance Evaluation Committee.
Age Limit: Maximum 62 years (to be calculated as on the closing date of submission of applications).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Ph.D. in relevant subjects (Sociology/Ethnology/Anthropology/Folklore/Management Sciences/Mass Communication/Media Studies) and other related fields from an HEC-recognized University or equivalent foreign qualification with 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
OR - Masters in relevant subjects (Sociology/Ethnology/Anthropology/Folklore/Management Sciences/Mass Communication/Media Studies) and other related fields from an HEC-recognized University or equivalent foreign qualification with 14 years of experience in the relevant field. Knowledge/research in art and culture will be treated as an additional experience.
- In the case of foreign-qualified shortlisted candidates, an equivalence certificate will be obtained from HEC before final selection.

- Eligibility will be determined, and selection will be finalized as per approved Government policy. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. Candidates shall not be entitled to TA/DA for the interview.
