Who are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics/Commerce from an HEC recognized/overseas institution.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial environment. Exposure of Banking Operations, experience and knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, AML/CFT Act and best practices will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance of UNSC and Targeted Financial Sanctions Regime:
- Ensure the compliance of Targeted Financial Sanction’s Regime, Sanction’s screening activity, freezing / de-freezing actions under UNSC Sanction Regime & Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, global watch lists and instructions received from other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) as per Bank’s own procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate PEP / Watch List Management for sanction’s screening through FCM application and fuzzy logics.
- KYC/AML/CFT Policy & Procedures, controls and Risk Assessments:
- Conduct periodic gap assessment exercise on FCM (sanction screening system) and implementation of related improvements regarding thresholds, addition of lists and work flows.
- Assist to line manager in assessment of Bank’s policy and procedures in the light of AML Act, ATA Act, UNSC Sanction Regime, SBP Regulations, FATF recommendations and international best practices and development & implementation of required policy, procedures and preventive controls.
- Maintenance of Database and STR Reporting related to TF / PF / TFS Risk:
- Supervise the handling, recording and timely response to queries received from NACTA, LEAs, Courts and Regulator.
- Maintain and update the STR register as per bank’s procedure.
- WU Transaction Monitoring and Screening:
- Supervise the compliance of UNSC Sanction Regime, completion of defined CDD/EDD measures, and adherence of AML / CFT controls over Western Union Transactions received for review and approval and related record keeping requirements.
- Supervise the screening process of Bank’s employees, vendors/supplier and shareholders at the time of onboarding and on quarterly basis as per Bank’s procedure and Guidelines of Govt. of Pakistan under UNSC Sanction Regime and related record keeping.
- Submission of quarterly reports to management and regulator as and when required.
- KYC / AML / CFT Training & Additional Tasks
- Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for MFCC/ Bank Management.
- Assisting in any other relevant tasks/Assignment by line manager.
