Who are we looking for?
- Preferably 16 years of education in management sciences/accounting/finance.
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 3 years in Operational Risk, Internal Control, or Audit functions within a financial or microfinance institution.
- Excellent understanding of Operational Risk frameworks, RCSAs, KRIs, and Loss Event Databases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Operational Risk Management Framework, policies, and procedures in line with SBP guidelines and the bank’s risk management framework.
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across branches, head office functions, and third-party service providers.
- Oversee RCSAs, KRIs, loss data, and control testing to ensure proactive risk detection and mitigation.
- Supervise operational incident management, root cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective actions for control breaches and process gaps.
- Prepare and present operational risk dashboards and reports to Senior Management, RMC, BRMC, and other governance forums.
- Support evaluation of new products and process changes to ensure operational risk considerations are embedded at the design stage.
- Promote strong risk culture, awareness, and capacity building across all business and support functions.
Skills:
• Outstanding analytical and technical skills with sound knowledge of the banking industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with management and deliver presentations on key/complex issues.
- Highly proficient in MS Office suite specially Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and to identify relevant issues in solving business problems.
- Exhibits and upholds KMBL’s values and social performance objectives.
