K-Electric Pvt Ltd Jobs Deputy Manager Legal:

K-Electric, one of the leading power utility company in Pakistan, is currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager Legal resources to join our team. We are looking for individuals who possesse excellent legal skills, a deep understanding of law, and is enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education & Experience: LLB/LLM/Bar at Law with atleast 2-3 years of experience in relevant field

1   Review of Utility Court Cases   40%
•   Ensure completeness of all the documents necessary for filing criminal complaint / application against electricity theft or illegal reconnection in utility court.
•   Ensure completeness of Site Inspection Report is as per requirement of law including all the pictures and video evidence of theft.
•   Ensure case property (Physical evidence) is available to be presented in court.
•   Analyze critically the details and documents of each case before filing a criminal complaint/application in utility court to ensure there are no weak links which may weaken the case during trial.
•   Analyze the feasibility of cases to be filed in terms of cost benefit analysis to ensure if the fixed cost of filing a case & other costs involved is justified considering the expected recovery from dues and IRB amount of consumer.
•   Manage inward and outward movement of physical files with agencies.

2   Negotiation/Dealing with consumers   30%
•   If any consumer approaches for settlement as a result of notice served before filing of case in utility court, this position will be responsible for getting all the details of case and prior approvals (if required), negotiating all the settlement terms with consumers mainly the rebate percentage, no of installments with complete payment schedule.
•   If any consumer approaches for out of court settlement after filing criminal complaint / application in utility court, this position will be responsible for negotiating all the settlement terms with consumers, mainly the rebate percentage & getting agreement from consumer on immediate payment of remaining dues.
•   Assist Manager Legal CRMC in the cases, where consumer visits for settlement in providing case file, billing statement, and available settlement offers.
•   Suggesting settlement terms for high value cases to Manager legal CRMC for negotiation with consumer.
•   Ensuring delivery of timely bills to consumers each month as per agreed payment plan.
•   Ensuring payments from consumers as per agreed schedule and taking necessary action in case of non-compliance.

3   Coordination with Agencies & IBCs   20%
•   Keeping close coordination with Cluster/ IBCs & agencies to ensure speedy submission of cases for review.
•   In case of incomplete or missing documents, coordination with agencies for ensuring completeness and immediate re-submission of cases for review.
•   In case of incomplete SIR details, coordination with IBCs for ensuring proper SIRs are prepared for case filing.
•   Providing guidance to IBCs & Agencies based on reviewed cases for streamlining submission, review and revert process to ensure maximum efficiency.
•   Obtain relevant details and documentary evidence from IBCs and assist the agencies and their legal counsels to ensure preparing final WS / Objection / CA to be submitted onward in Court.
•   In coordination with clusters, prepare Authority Letter in favor of Authorized person and get Authority Letter signed by assigned authorities.

4   Record Keeping/Documentation       10%
•   Responsible for maintaining complete record of cases filed in utility court with all the relevant documents in hard and soft copy.
•   Keeping updated status & record of subsequent court proceedings, final decisions and Out of court settlements.

Employement type is Contractual.
