Position & Age Assistant Director (Database Security) Age (Max): 37 Years

Educational Background Bachelors (4 Years) in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Cyber Security/ Information Security or Electrical/ Electronics Engineering with relevant IS certifications or equivalent in a related field from an HEC recognized university (Degrees must be attested HEC)

Position Requirements

Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in a reputable organization, in either Information Security, Information Technology, Database Administration or Network Device Administration.
Certification / Badge in any IBM Security Product or equivalent shall be preferred.
Information Security Certificates such as CySA+, Data+ or equivalent shall be preferred.

Responsibilities, Skills & Competencies

Installation, configuration and setup Guardium appliances for database activity monitoring and protection.
Installation of Guardium agents on database servers with necessary configurations for collection of logs.
Timely patching of Guardium appliances and renewal of license.
Monitor and evaluate database incidents through IBM Guardium data monitoring and protection tool.
Perform data discovery and classification with all stakeholders in order to prioritize implementation of security solution.
Monitor and audit all database activity including privileged user activity.
Monitor and analyze all database risks by performing data analytics of existing logs.
Analytical aptitude and knack for details.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Communications skills including technical writing and general correspondence.
Inquisitive to learn new technologies, processes and collaborate with other teams.
Knowledge of scripting, automation of robotic processes / report is expected.
Ensuring backup, disaster recovery and data protection mechanisms.
Implementing cybersecurity controls for on-premises and cloud-based databases.

Position Requirements

Professional Experience

Responsibilities & Skills

Support the drafting and revision of rules, regulations, and legal frameworks for government approval.
Help implement compliance frameworks for data protection, privacy, and security regulations.
Conduct research and provide legal analysis on national and international laws impacting NADRA’s functions.
Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and assist in conducting risk assessments.
Collaborate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure policy alignment.
Prepare reports, recommendations, and legal documents to support senior management decisions.
Prepare legal opinions on policy, compliance, and regulatory matters to guide decision-making.
Strong understanding of Pakistani laws related to citizenship, registration, data protection, and privacy.
Excellent research, analytical, legal drafting, and opinion writing skills, with a strong command of written and verbal communication.

Skills and Competencies

Work closely with application development teams to provide security expertise on system, encryption, authentication, security specific code.

Hands On Experience in Desktop, Web and Mobile Application Penetration Testing.
Expertise in deploying and operating security tools Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, Kali Linux, Hydra, Dnspy, Mobsf, Mobile application security testing tools etc.
Knowledge of software and network architecture and application security/pen testing standards like OWASP, SANS etc.
Manage the assessment of web applications, mobile applications, APIs and review technical reports/recommendations.
Conduct source code reviews, static and dynamic application security testing (SAST, DAST).
Knowledge of Cloud Security, Security Orchestration Platforms, Cluster, Containerization and DevSecOps. Able to develop and maintain code review guidelines and standards.
Collaborate with development teams to improve and provide recommendations on code quality and secure coding.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Stay updated on programming languages and secure coding techniques.
Develop and maintain tools and scripts for automated security testing.
Understanding of ethical hacking standards, security compliance requirements, and secure AI usage practices.
Familiarity with AI-assisted penetration testing tools and Machine Learning based security analysis.

Skills & Competencies

Establish AI Governance Frameworks for AI/ML/Gen AI Systems.

Manage AI risks including prompt infection, LLM data leakage, Shadow AI, AI supply chain risk.
Solid understanding of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS controls in the context of current and emerging threat landscape.
Hands-on experience in scoping and conducting Information Security Audits.
Staying current on best practices and technological advancements and acts as a technical resource for security assessment and compliance.
Deep knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including understanding of threat landscapes, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, risk identification, risk analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in IS Policy formulation, writing of SOP’s and instructions.
Proficiency in conducting Audits as per ISO requirements and formulation of audit reports.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are important for conveying information security and compliance information to various stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams.
