Responsibilities:
- Plan assigned audits, identifying objectives, scope, and specific risks.
- Develop comprehensive audit programs to identify areas for control improvements within the function under review.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Identify key control points within the system under review to focus audit efforts effectively.
- Perform or supervise audits in a professional manner, adhering to approved audit programs and standards.
- Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data to form an informed objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency of performance.
- Prepare formal written draft reports, articulating opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system and the efficiency of activities carried out.
- Evaluate the adequacy of corrective actions taken to address deficient conditions identified during audits.
- Assist in the development of the annual audit plan to ensure comprehensive coverage of audit objectives and priorities.
- Report directly to the Head of Internal Audit (HOD IA), ensuring timely communication of audit progress, findings and recommendations.
