SITUATION VACANT: The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, is inviting applications for the position of Chairperson in the Pakistan Climate Change Authority. This is a challenging opportunity for professionals with expertise in climate change and environmental matters.
Position Details:
- Post: Chairperson
- Scale: SPPS-I
- No. of Posts: 01
- Age Limit: 62 years
Qualification & Experience:
- The Chairperson must be a scientist, academician, professional, government servant (serving or retired), industrialist, agriculturist, or technocrat.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in fields related to climate change and the environment, with a distinguished service record.
- Required Qualification: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in:
- Climate Change
- Environment
- Finance
- Management Sciences
- Environmental Engineering
- Environmental Law/Policy
- Other relevant degrees
Terms & Conditions:
Disqualification Criteria:
A person shall not be eligible for appointment if they:
a) Have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from service due to disciplinary proceedings.
b) Have been convicted of moral turpitude or corruption by a competent court.
c) Are a beneficiary of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007.
Other Conditions:
- Civil/Government Servants may apply through the proper channel, subject to eligibility.
- Those employed under SPPS Scales must submit an affidavit confirming non-involvement in any conflicting business or job.
- Applications must be submitted online at the National Job Portal (www.NJP.gov.pk) within 15 days of advertisement publication. Late applications will not be entertained.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- The Ministry reserves the right to cancel the post without assigning any reason.
- No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview.
