POSITIONS VACANT: Applications (both Hard-Copy and Online) are invited from qualified individuals domiciled in the Province of Punjab for the following positions under the HEC approved projects:

“Swarm Robotics Lab” under “National Centre of Robotics and Automation (NCRA) (DF-1009-0031)”
“Democratizing Robotics in Pakistan: Design and Development of Multidimensional Robotic Platform for STEM Education (TDF04-095)” under Technology Development Fund

HEC FUNDED PROJECT POSITIONS

I. SWARM ROBOTICS LAB (DF-1009-0031)

Position: Research Assistants

Pay Package: Rs. 105,000/- per month
No. of Posts: 01 (Swarm Intelligence), 01 (Computer Vision), 01 (Decentralized Communication) (Total = 03)
Duration: Till 30th June 2025 or End of Project (Whichever is applicable)
Age Limit: Up to 35 Years
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Avionics, Mechatronics, Telecom, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge in:
  - Embedded Systems and Robotics (ROS, RTOS, Nvidia’s CUDA C/GPUs, Flight Controllers, Drone Design, Drone Flying, etc.).
  - Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Real-Time Image Processing, AI on Edge, AI/ML Application Development.
  - Adhoc Wireless Communication and Networks, FPGA, and Embedded Systems Programming.
  - Experience with ArduPilot and MAVROS for aerial/ground vehicles.

II. TDF04-095

Position: Research Assistants

Pay Package: Rs. 100,000/- per month
No. of Posts: 03
Duration: 02 Years
Age Limit: Up to 35 Years
Eligibility Requirements:

1. Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge of robotic algorithms (localization, navigation, real-time controls, transforms).
Familiarity with MoveIt/SolidWorks.
Hands-on experience with actual robots.
Proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics.
Experience with ROS2, Micro-ROS, and simulation platforms like Ignition or Gazebo.
Familiarity with ArduPilot systems/MAVROS.

2. Computer/Software/Mechatronics Engineering

Experience in deploying, optimizing, and performing transfer learning for custom datasets.
Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Nano, Xavier, Orin) for real-time AI and robotics.
Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for robotics.
Experience with ROS2 and perception sensors (depth cameras, stereo cameras, LIDAR, ultrasonic, TF sensors).
Knowledge of ArduPilot systems.

3. Computer/Electronics Engineering

Expertise in designing, integrating, and implementing practical electronic systems.
Hands-on experience with STM32 and ESP32 microcontrollers.
PCB designing and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other tools.
Experience with edge computing devices (NVIDIA Jetson platforms, Raspberry Pi).
Hands-on experience with ArduPilot systems and perception sensors.

Note:

Application fee: Rs. 2000/- (Non-refundable), payable in Bank Draft/Postal Order/HBL Challan at UET Taxila.
Applicants must apply separately for each position.
The positions are project-based, with no right of regular appointment.
Attested copies of degree certificates, experience letters, and photographs must be attached.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
