SECP, the apex regulator of capital markets and corporate sector of Pakistan, requires the services of qualified, result-oriented, energetic, and enthusiastic professionals with impeccable integrity and exceptional analytical skills for the following contractual position in its Prosecution and Legal Affairs Division, on open merit.

Additional Director – Prosecution & Civil Litigation Department (01 Position in Karachi)

Qualification
LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed HEC recognized university/institute and must be enrolled as an advocate of the High Court.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Bar-at-Law course after LL.B. or have obtained LL.M. degree and have experience in company and corporate litigation.

Experience Criteria
Applicants must have at least 12 years of post-qualification experience. Preference will be given to candidates with 10 years of experience as an advocate of the Sindh High Court, proven experience in independently handling corporate and criminal prosecution (white-collar crime) or relevant legal post-qualification experience related to corporate sector at mid-level position. Experience includes corporate legal advisory and all ancillary matters.
NOTE: Details of decided cases, including any reported cases, preferably related to company and corporate matters, may be provided in the proforma included in the TORs. This may include the record of trial and High Court cases handled as an Independent Counsel, Public Prosecutor, or in any related role(s).

Nature of Employment
Contract (03 years) extendable on need and performance basis.
The Commission may consider regularizing the position after three years subject to meeting the prescribed criteria for this purpose.

Age
The maximum age should not exceed 45 years on the last date of submission of the application.

Location
Karachi (Can be transferred to any other city in Pakistan at the discretion of the Commission from time to time.)
