CAREER OPPORTUNITY: OFFICER ENTITY LEVEL COMPLIANCE / POLICY & REGULATIONS REGULATORY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT

Pakistan Stock Exchange is the only Stock Exchange of Pakistan, having its TREC Holders in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. In order to support its mission-critical operations, PSX has implemented state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and applications.

PSX is looking for a talented, qualified and highly motivated individual for the role of “Officer – Entity Level Compliance / Policy & Regulations” in the Regulatory Affairs Department which shall be based in Head Office, Karachi. A competitive salary package will be offered to the chosen candidate. The position’s key responsibilities, skillset and educational requirements are given below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist the supervisor in monitoring compliance of PSX with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, policies and procedures.
To review the compliance checklists in line with changes in applicable regulatory frameworks approved by SECP or PSX and suggest changes.
To coordinate with various departments of PSX to obtain the information and documents required from time to time to conduct compliance checks and periodic reviews and to complete its reporting.
To research international best practices on topics / regulatory matters as may be delegated by PRD and the CRO etc.
Coordinate with departments to collect periodic offsite information reports and forward the same to SECP in the specified manner and format.
Manage distribution/revalidation and cancellation of dividends.
To assist in drafting and issuing notices informing market of any amendments being proposed in PSX Regulations, clarifications or interpretation.
To assist on updating PSX Rule Book available on PSX website in accordance with regulatory approval granted by the SECP and maintain the database.
To assist in processing the approved amendments/new regulations of PSX for notification in Official Gazette of Pakistan and to perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be delegated by the CRO from time to time.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Demonstrable knowledge of Corporate Laws including PSX Regulations, Companies Act 2017, Securities Act 2015, Securities Exchanges (Licensing & Operations) Regulations, 2016.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Well-versed in report writing, presentations and financial analyses.
Fine attention to detail, ability to multi-task and a strong work ethic.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor / Master’s degree from a reputable university
ACCA / CIMA / ICMA finalist; AND
Minimum 1 year of experience
