KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To commit time and leadership for the successful implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
Be responsible for all aspects of the school`s academic provision, including its curriculum, planning, development, delivery, assessment and monitoring.
Be responsible for the school`s academic administration, including timetabling, resources, parental liaison, staff training and liaison with external agencies.
To conduct teacher evaluation by means of class observations, copy checking and other evaluative procedures. Provide them guidance where required/
Keep up to date with curriculum developments and ensure that all members of staff are aware of new initiatives and how they are going to be implemented. Provide support to them.
Take overall responsibility for curriculum planning and implementation, liaising as appropriate with the Headmaster and Heads of Department.
Convene, chair, and produce minutes of regular meetings of Heads of Department for the purpose of developing the curriculum and disseminating and discussing curricular issues.
Coordinate the provision of information to the Principal relating to classroom teaching issues, for appraisal purposes.
Oversee the school’s policy for the recording and reporting of pupil progress, based on regular assessments and reports.
Track the progress of individuals, class and year groups as they progress through the school and provide feedback to the Principal.
Analyse data, in liaison with the Heads of Departments and sections, to raise standards and address any issues of under-performance. Encourage, develop and monitor cross-curricular initiatives.
Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
Outline performance expectations and define key accountabilities, ensuring that a robust process for is in place for direct reports of the job holder.
Ensure that clear targets assigned to direct reports of the job holder and that job descriptions and KPI’s are in place for all direct reports within the School.
