Organization: Pakistan Railways Thar Coal Connectivity Project

Project Director intends to hire the services of following professionals having prescribed eligibility, educational qualification and experience as mentioned hereunder on One year Contract Period extendable for another two periods of one year each on satisfactory performance or till the completion of Project whichever is earlier for the Project of “Thar Coal Rail Connectivity with existing Railway Network including last mile connectivity with Port Qasim”. Interested candidates may apply for the following posts to be filled purely on contract basis under project pay scale (PPS).

Title	Prescribed Eligibility, Educational Qualification and Experience criteria
Deputy Project Director (Pay Package PPS-9)	i. MSC in Civil Engineering with a minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience of Project / Contract Management OR Bachelor in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Contract I Project Management with a minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience of Contract / Project Management, duly registered with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer. ii. Post-qualification work experience of Project / Contract management of Infrastructure projects shall be considered. ill. Preference shall be given to PMP Certified Professional and having experience of working on MS Project or Primavera.
Executive Engineer (Civil). (Pay Package PPS-8)	Bachelor in Civil Engineering duly registered with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer. Must have a minimum 08- years of post- qualification experience of supervision, execution and monitoring and controlling, progress reporting and preparation of presentations etc. of Infrastructure Projects (Railways I Buildings & Roads / Highways etc.). Preference shall be given to PMP certified Professionals having experience of working on NIS Project or Primavera and well conversant with various planning tools and techniques.
Executive Engineer (Signal) (Pay Package PPS-8)	i. Bachelor in Electronics OR Telecommunication Engineering duly registered with Pakistan engineering council U Professional engineer. ii. Must have * minimum 8-years of post- qualification experience of suspension, execution, monitoring and controlling of signaling and telecommunication Networks relevant to Railways I Metro trains etc„ iii. Preference shell be given to PMP certified Professionals having experience of working on MS Project or Primavera and well conversant IN ill various planning tools and techniques.
Assistant Executive Engineer. (Civil) Pay Package PPS-7	Bachelor in Civil Engineering duly registered with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer. Must have a minimum 5-years of post- qualification experience of supervision, execution, recording of measurements, monitoring and controlling of Infrastructure Project (Railways / Buildings & Roads / Highways etc.) related activities. Must be well conversant with Quality assurance and Quality Control and supervision practices being followed on Projects to ensure quality of works. Preference shall be given to the candidates who are well conversant on MS Project or Primavera and planning tools and techniques.
Assistant Accounts Officer Pay Package PPS-7	Qualified as M.COM OR ACCA.Must have a minimum 05 years post-qualification experience of preparation and maintenance of project accounts etc., conversant with the procedures and practices adopted in public sector for project related works including accounting and auditing.
Office Superintendent Pay Package-PPS-6	Qualified as Graduate, preferably in Public Administration OR Computers Science. Must have a minimum 04-years of Post qualification experience in the capacity of Office Superintendent / Administrative Officer and able to maintain the project record and correspondence, record keeping and assistance in the works assigned by the Project Directorate from time to time. Must be Computer literate and well conversant with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point etc.) have a good typing speed and able to prepare the progress reports and presentations as required from time to time.
Computer Operator Pay Package PPS-4	i. Qualified as Bachelor or IT Diploma holder. Preference shall be given to the incumbent who has a Bachelor / Graduate or Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science. Reasonable knowledge of Computer hardware and software and able to install and run Operating Systems and applications e.g M/S Windows, MS Office (MS word, MS Excel, MS Power Point etc.) Having a minimum 03-years of Post qualification experience as Computer Operator in any reputable organization.
UDC Pay Package PPS-4	Must have qualified FA/F.Sc in Second Division.Must have a minimum 02- years of Post qualification experience of working as cleric / record keeper in any reputable organization. Must have experience to record keeping, receipt & dispatch of DAK and maintenance of relevant registers and files etc. Computer literate with certification in MS Office shall be preferred.

Submission of application

Interested candidates may submit their application along with photograph and attested copies of academic degree /certificates and experience certificates etc. and two (02) recent passport size photos to The Executive Engineer, Thar Coal connectivity Project, Office Loco Shed Road Near Railway, Diesel shed, Pakistan Railways, Karachi, on or before 24.03.2024 at 1500 HRS.
Application received after due date will not be entertained.
Only short listed candidates will be called for test/interview.
No. of posts can be increased or decreased as per requirement.
Candidates can be disqualified at any stage of recruitment/selection process due to providing fake documents, false information or using any type of influence.
Maximum age limit for the posts from S.No.1 to 6 and S.No.9 to 14 is 62 years and maximum age limit for posts at S.No.7 and 8 is 50 years.
Selected candidate has to serve at Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and site of Project as per the project requirements at the concerned station and no request for posting to other station will be entertained.
The appointment shall be purely on contract basis for a period of one year subject to successful completion of the probation period of 6 month. The contract period will inclusive of the probationary period and contract may be extended for another two tenures of one year each or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in interview.
The candidates serving in Government-semi government or autonomous institutions should route their applications through proper channel along with departmental No Objection Certificate.
Preference shall be given to those candidates having experience of work in Public Sector Organization.
Management reserves the right to select or reject or not to fill advertised positions without assigning any reason. Incomplete application and applications received after due date will not be accepted.
These positions are only for a specific location; therefore, services of selected candidates shall neither confer any entitlement of regular/contractual appointment nor be regularized.
Note: Salary will be on project pay scale basis.
