We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and execute our financial strategy to drive growth. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker and financial strategist who will play a key role in enhancing the refinery’s profitability and spearheading strategic initiatives to ensure sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement a prudent financial strategy to enhance refinery profitability.
- Lead financial structuring and capital allocation strategy to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and Board, shaping corporate and operational strategies.
- Identify and drive cost-saving and efficiency initiatives across the refinery.
Financial Planning, Analysis, and Capital Management:
- Oversee the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Analyze refinery operational and financial metrics.
- Implement robust financial models and assessment tools to support key decision-making.
- Collaborate in pricing and cost-benefit analysis for crude procurement, production, and product pricing strategies.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure financial stability.
- Drive investment decisions that align with the refinery’s growth objectives.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify financial risks, including market volatility, forex exposure, and commodity pricing risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, refinery industry standards, and corporate governance.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit mechanisms, and financial reporting standards.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA or a relevant finance degree.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience, preferably in the refining, oil & gas, process, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in financial transformations, structuring, and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with strong people management capabilities.
- High level of empathy, integrity, and decision-making capability.
