The Geological Survey of Pakistan, M/O Energy (Petroleum Division) is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the following positions on a contract basis for an ongoing PSDP project titled “Accelerated Geological Mapping of Unmapped Outcrop Areas of Pakistan at 1:50,000 Scale (350 Toposheets) & Geological Investigations for Resource Mapping of Gemstones & Metallic Minerals in Potential Blocks of Gilgit-Baltistan 2024.” The project is likely to be completed by June 30, 2026.

Deputy Director (Field Geology) (PPS-8/Equivalent BPS-18)

Salary: 218,750-10940-350,030
Qualification & Experience: M.Sc/BS Geology or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience
Maximum Age: 35 years (+5 years general age relaxation)
Number of Posts: 5 (Open Merit)

Assistant Director (Field Geology) (PPS-7/Equivalent BPS-17)

Salary: 157,500-7875-252,000
Qualification & Experience: M.Sc/BS Geology or equivalent (Preferably 3 years of relevant experience)
Maximum Age: 30 years (+5 years general age relaxation)
Number of Posts: 20 (Open Merit)

Important Instructions:

These positions are contract-based and are not subject to regularization or extension beyond the project life.
Age and experience will be calculated as of the closing date of the application.
The contract period will last until June 30, 2026 but may be extended if the project implementation period is extended.
