POSITIONS VACANT: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is seeking suitable candidates for appointment to the following positions on a contract basis.

Position 1: Senior Deputy Manager (Ship Design)

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification / Experience:
- BE / BS (Electronics / Electrical / Electronic Engineering) or equivalent from PEC-accredited program.
- Minimum 05 years of relevant professional experience in marine electronics, shipbuilding, ship repair, shipyard projects or a related marine engineering environment.
- Candidates having hands-on experience in the design, installation, integration, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of marine electronic and navigation systems will be preferred.
- Experience with GMDSS, VDR/S-VDR, ECDIS, Marine Radar, Gyro Compass, AIS, SatCom, fibre-optic systems and other shipboard communication/navigation systems will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience in technical planning, preparation/review of engineering documentation, system integration and project execution will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.

Position 2: Technical Assistant

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification / Experience:
- DAE (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent.
- Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Candidates understanding of engineering drawing and hands-on experience of MS Office and coordination skills will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.

Position 3: Steel Fabricator

No. of Posts: 03

Qualification / Experience:
- Middle / Matric.
- Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Candidates having relevant trade course will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.

Position 4: Electric Welder

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification / Experience:
- Middle / Matric.
- Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Candidates having relevant trade course will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.

Position 5: Hot Former

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification / Experience:
- Middle / Matric.
- Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Candidates having relevant trade course will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.
