Job Title: Financial Controller & Company Secretary
Location: Karachi
Reports to: CEO
Level: Vice President / Senior Vice President
Desired Skills & Expertise
- Qualified Chartered Accountant from recognized institute and member of ICAP and/or ACCA member preferably with professional qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years of experience in treasury, investment and fund management, and financial controllership-related positions in a banking/financial institution with good knowledge of & exposure to NBFC, SECP rules & regulations. Must also have knowledge of Code of Corporate Governance.
- Strong familiarity with IAS/IFRS standards with understanding of financial guarantees and capital markets preferred; experience in the design and installation of computer-based treasury, financial and accounting systems will be an added advantage.
Principal Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations.
- Invest and manage the Company’s investible funds pursuant to and in compliance with the Company’s Investment Policy.
- Oversee income collections, payments, cash flow, liquidity and assets of the Company.
- Liaise with and manage external and internal audits.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements for Management, Board of Directors, Shareholders and other stakeholders.
- Lead in the planning, formulation and monitoring of the Company’s annual budget.
- Manage and administer tax liabilities of the Company to ensure compliance with the applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Act as secretary to the Board of Directors of the Company as well as internal management committees.
