Position Title: Lead Professional Consultant, Risk Management Department — Islamabad
Position Overview:
Reporting to Senior Risk leadership, this position will play a key role in governing enterprise-wide risk frameworks, supervising credit and treasury risk activities, and ensuring strong regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for:
- Assisting in establishing and refining enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) frameworks, risk appetite statements, and policies across credit, market, liquidity, operational, and ESG risks.
- Conducting pre-disbursement credit appraisals and evaluations for corporate, FI, and project financing exposures while monitoring portfolio quality and risk limits.
- Oversee see treasury middle office functions. Monitor and analyze key market and liquidity risk indicators and risk profiles of the bank.
- Lead or participate in the procurement, customization, and implementation of core risk systems, loan origination software, and automated risk dashboards.
- Ensure alignment with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulatory requirements.
Qualification and Skills Required:
Incumbent should have:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Economics from a reputable institution; professional certifications are highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive risk management experience in commercial banks or DFIs.
- Deep knowledge of SBP regulations, Basel framework, management skills in credit risk, market risk and liquidity risk.
- Strong strategic analytical skills, high ethical standards, and excellent communication abilities for reporting to senior management and the Board.
