Appointment of Civil Judges & Judicial Magistrates

Applications are invited on ‘Prescribed Form’ from the candidates (both male & female) being citizens of Pakistan having Domicile and Permanent Residence of Province of Sindh for appointment on regular basis against the Fifty Eight (58) vacant posts of “Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate” (13-18), with gross salary of Rs. 210,029/- (Rupees Two Lac Ten Thousand and Twenty Nine Only) per month and privileges including full medical cover for self and family as per rules, official car and accommodation on availability after deduction or house rent from the gross salary.

ELIGIBILITY/QUALIFICATION:

He/She possesses a degree in Law from a recognized University entitling him/her to practice the profession of Law with minimum two years active practice as an Advocate or Barrister of England or Ireland or is a Member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland; and
He/She is practicing the profession of law or is a member of the staff of the Supreme Court, High Court of Sindh or Courts subordinate to the High Court of Sindh. The expression “practicing the profession of law” shall include any period of service of the State by a person as:
- (a) Legal Assistant or Section Officer in the Law Department of Government of Sindh, only;
- (b) Assistant Attorney;
- (c) Assistant Solicitor; and
- (d) Full-time Prosecutor, authorized to conduct prosecution on behalf of the State in a Court;
- (e) Civil servants, other than those mentioned above, who have served in connection with the affairs of the province or Federation for a period of not less than three years.

AGE:

Minimum 21 — Maximum 32 years on the last date fixed for submission of applications for appointment.
Exceptions:
- (a) In the case of Civil Servant who has served in connection with the affairs of the Federation or the Province of Sindh for a period of not less than three years, the upper age limit shall be 35 years.
- (b) In the case of a Barrister or an Advocate of the High Court and the Courts sub-ordinate thereto, or a pleader, the period during which he/she practiced at the Bar, subject to a maximum period of three years, shall, for the purpose of upper age limit under this rule be excluded from his/her age.
- (c) In the case of a person whose services under Government have been terminated for want of vacancy, the period of service already rendered by him/her, shall, for the purpose of upper age limit under this rule, be excluded from his/her age.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION PROCESS:

The candidates securing minimum 50% marks in the preliminary test of M.C.Qs will be eligible for the 2nd written test, and the candidates securing minimum 50% marks in the 2nd written test will be eligible for the interview.

ENCLOSURES:

The application forms shall be accompanied by attested copies of certificates/testimonials evidencing:

(a) Date of birth
(b) Qualification
(c) Date of enrolment as Advocate/Pleader (renewed up to date)
(d) Domicile
(e) Permanent Residence
(f) C.N.I.C.
(g) Certificate of character from the Principal Academic Officer of the academic institution last attended
(h) Certificates of character from two respectable persons not being his relatives
(i) Four latest photographs
(j) Pay Order/Demand Draft in the sum of Rs. 4,000/- (Rupees Four thousand only) (Non-refundable) in favor of the Registrar, High Court of Sindh, Karachi.

NOTE:

It is compulsory for all the candidates to submit their application forms through an online portal at the official website: www.sindhhighcourt.gov.pk and after submitting the application forms online, print the application forms with auto-generated computerized code, sign it, and send it to the office of Additional MIT-I with required documents as mentioned in the advertisement.
The candidate who fails to submit his/her application form online shall not be included in the list of candidates.
The original documents shall have to be produced at the time of Interview.
Ineligible candidates and those not fulfilling the conditions or submitting incomplete applications shall not be considered.
The applicants working in the public sector/government departments shall apply through the proper channel with Departmental N.O.C. and a copy of the appointment notification/order.
Applications received after the last date shall be rejected (any postal/transit delay shall not be considered).
No T.A/D.A. shall be admissible.
Age limit as mentioned above shall be strictly followed and no application for relaxation in age limit shall be entertained.
Disable quota will be followed as per Law.
