Programme Migration for Development (PME)
As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. The Global Project “Programme Migration for Development (PME)” is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The project is active in 25 partner countries. lts overarching objective is to strengthen the development-relevant contributions of migrants in their countries of origin and improve the framework conditions for legal migration in selected partner countries. The PME is in the course of expanding its activities to Pakistan, therefore seeking a suitable candidate for the following position:

Job title: National Coordinator (Reference No. PME 2018/001)
Duty Station: Islamabad

Qualifications and Experience:
• Pakistani citizenship, ideally own migration experience in Germany or another European country
• Preferably a completed degree in the social science, political science, law or another related field of study
• Relevant work experience in fields such as migration/ advice of vulnerable groups/ labour market/ vocational training or another field relevant to the position — at least 3 years
• Work experience with a public employer in Pakistan would be an advantage
• Very good German language skills (preferably) or fluent English and capacity of improving German language skills as well as demonstration of excellent communication and presentation skills
• Very good working knowledge of ICT technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
