We are looking to add a member to our Quality Assurance (Denim/Non-Denim Fabric) team who is an expert in managing Quality Assurance Lab team and good with developing and rolling out the strategy for the Lab. A good fit for this role would be ideally someone who has the ability to play a pivotal role in elevating the business to create a benchmark amongst best industry practices.
The major areas of focus and expertise for an ideal candidate are:
- Develop strategy for the effective operations of the Quality Assurance department of the denim fabric division
- Lead the execution of all operations based on ASTMD, AATCC and ISO testing methods or buyer protocols
- Supervise the team to effectively record ISO 17025 certifications documentation throughout the year for annual quality audits
- Regulate testing activities and documents required in buyer based accreditation program
- Monitor the equipment internal verification and ensure it is being recorded as per Quality set criteria in respective log sheets
- Collaborate with Auditors for Lab Certifications re-evaluation and correlation testing activities
- Liaising with team members to align the internal team goals with special emphasis on coefficient of error and alignment of laboratory equipment for operational activities after every renewal of annual calibration certificate
- Train team members to understand and implement the standards set as per the customer requirements
Must have knowledge and experience: - Technical understanding of Laboratory operations (testing frequencies, calibration, verification checks, necessary SOPs and documentation)
- In-depth understanding of implementation of ASTM D, AATCC & ISO testing methods used in fabric or garment testing
- Good strategic, decision-making, multitasking, analytical, interpersonal and pressure handling skills and has an ability to drive processes through innovation and ownership
- Has at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a Quality Assurance Lab in a textile company, preferably having experience of denim/non-denim fabric production related testing activities. Must have considerable experience of dealing with all matters related to Lab Certifications
- Qualification Requirements: Bachelors/Masters in Quality Management or an equivalent qualification
The position will be based at the site in Feroze Wattwan, Sheikhupura.
