WE’RE HIRING | SOLAR ENGINEER
We are seeking a technically competent Solar Engineer to manage the operations, maintenance, and performance of our existing solar installations and support the planning and execution of upcoming solar expansion projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and monitor generation, system efficiency, and availability of existing solar installations.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of solar panels, inverters, electrical equipment, and monitoring systems.
- Diagnose faults, investigate generation losses, and implement measures to improve performance and reliability.
- Assess expansion requirements and support feasibility studies, site surveys, system sizing, and technical evaluations.
- Review engineering drawings, equipment specifications, BOQs, and vendor proposals for new projects.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain generation reports, maintenance records, technical documentation, and project progress updates.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience in solar PV operations, maintenance, and project execution, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of PV systems, inverters, protection systems, earthing, monitoring platforms, and integration with plant electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, analyze performance data, and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong planning, coordination, and contractor supervision skills.
