WE’RE HIRING! Deputy Manager – Maintenance & Utilities
About the Role:
The person will oversee the operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of critical mechanical systems, including compressors, pumps, motors, hot water generators and diesel generators. This role involves managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor the mechanical team, conduct root cause analyses of system failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges. Responsibilities include developing and implementing SOPs, managing mechanical engineering projects and budgets and coordinating with vendors for equipment upgrades, repairs and spare parts procurement. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
The Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a B.Eng or B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 10-12 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities. A strong understanding of engineering and mechanical concepts, along with exceptional time management and organizational skills, is essential. Experience in a large manufacturing concern will be highly valued.
