Job Summary:
As a Regional Head of Toys, having knowledge of product sourcing is crucial to ensure a steady supply of high-quality toys that meet customer demands. Here are some key aspects of product sourcing knowledge that a Regional Head of Toys should possess for leading the Toys Department across country, driving sales growth and developing high-performing teams. The successful candidate will have a strong retail background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the toy industry.
Must haves
- Product sourcing, Identifying and evaluate potential suppliers
- Deep product knowledge & complete awareness about recent market trends
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for efficient supply chain
- Cost-saving initiatives, such as negotiating or renegotiating contracts with suppliers
- Lead and train Sales team for best customer services
- Developing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, such as diversifying suppliers or implementing contingency plans
Nice to Have
- Ensure toys comply with safety and regulatory standards, such as ASTM, CPSIA, and EN 71
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Implementing processes to track and monitor regulatory changes and updates
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of retail experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the toy industry and current market trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
