QUALITY ASSURANCE | QUALITY CONTROL | COMPLIANCE

Location: Karachi

We are seeking a decisive, technically authoritative quality leader to take single-point ownership of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Regulatory Compliance at Ahmed Foods — safeguarding our products, our consumers, and our licence to trade across domestic and export markets. The role reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct, design, and enforce comprehensive QA/QC protocols across raw material intake, in-process manufacturing, packaging integrity, and finished goods across all product categories (pastes, pickles, recipe spices, desserts, and packaged foods).
Independently identify root causes of deviations, processing inconsistencies, or quality defects; implement immediate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with minimal oversight.
Maintain total compliance with both local regulatory bodies (PSQCA, Sindh Food Authority, Punjab Food Authority) and international food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, Halal certifications, FDA guidelines).
Lead third-party, client, and regulatory audits with full accountability for zero-defect compliance and documentation accuracy.
Supervise in-house chemical, physical, and microbiological laboratory operations, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
Establish strict vendor quality assurance frameworks for agricultural produce, raw spices, and packaging materials.
Mentor, train, and build a high-performance quality team on the plant floor, instilling a company-wide culture of food safety excellence.

Requirements:

Minimum 10+ years of proven leadership experience strictly as Head of Quality / QA-QC Head within a reputable FMCG food manufacturing or processing setup.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Microbiology, or related technical disciplines.
Up-to-date, hands-on knowledge of international export compliance (US, UK/EU, GCC markets) and national food authorities.
Exceptional analytical capability to triage high-stakes floor issues, manage crisis control, and implement scalable systemic fixes.
Decisive, authoritative on quality parameters, commercially aware, and capable of working cross-functionally with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, and Export divisions.
