Responsibilities
- Quarterly Reserving: Perform comprehensive reserving analysis for various lines of business in Pakistan and the UAE.
- IFRS 17 Reporting (UAE): Complete internal IFRS 17 reporting requirements on quarterly basis
- IFRS 17 Implementation (Pakistan): Become an active member of IFRS 17 working committee including data collection, modeling, and reporting.
- Ratemaking (Motor): Develop and maintain pricing models for motor insurance products.
- Portfolio Analysis: Conduct retrospective and prospective analyses of the company’s insurance portfolios to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines in both Pakistan and the UAE.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting and finance, to support company objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Exam progress
- At least five years of work experience in an actuarial role
- Prior experience in general insurance will be preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop good interpersonal relationships
- Excellent data analytical skills highly desired (Excel/VBA/Power BI)
- Having command on any relevant tool other than Excel will be a plus point (R Studio/Qlik)
