REQUIREMENTS

Education: LL.B. from a recognized university. LL.M., Bar-at-Law, or another relevant professional legal qualification will be considered an advantage.
Experience: 10–12 years of post-qualification legal experience.

JOB ROLE & REQUIREMENTS:

Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to business units and support functions.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, technology, service, confidentiality, and partnership contracts.
Provide legal support for new products, business initiatives, strategic projects, and partnerships.
Advise management on legal and regulatory matters relating to business operations, payment systems, financial services, and technology.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing organizational compliance.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, briefs, and recommendations on complex legal and regulatory issues.
Support corporate governance, regulatory engagement, and statutory compliance activities.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, fintechs, technology partners, regulators, and service providers.
Manage legal disputes, litigation, arbitration, and external legal counsel while mitigating legal risks.
Support the Head of Strategy & Legal Affairs in implementing legal strategy, governance frameworks, and other strategic initiatives.
