Job Title: Control & Protection Engineer (Switchgear / Substations)
Location: 34 KM Ferozpur Road, Lahore
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate control and protection logic, interlocking schemes, and automation sequences
- Configure, test, and commission numerical relays, IEDs, and control panels both at factory and site
- Lead protection testing, troubleshooting, and reliability checks during installation and commissioning
- Provide expertise in retrofitting, upgrades, and maintenance of protection and control systems
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE and NTDC/KE standards
- Collaborate with Production, project, and quality teams for successful project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- 4–6 years of experience in protection and control systems within the power industry (substations/switchgear)
- Strong knowledge of power system protection schemes (overcurrent, distance, differential, transformer, busbar protection)
- Hands-on experience with numerical relay configuration software (Siemens DIGSI, ABB PCM600, Schneider, SEL etc.)
- Skilled in relay settings calculations, fault analysis, and protection coordination
- Familiarity with SCADA/RTU systems and communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3)
