Ismail Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Category Planning Manager to support category growth, drive data-backed decision making, and enhance in-market execution across channels in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development and execution of annual and quarterly category plans aligned with business objectives.
Analyze sales, market share, pricing, and promotional data to generate actionable insights and support pricing reviews, promotion evaluations, and ROI analysis.
Assist in product portfolio management, including new product launches, renovations, and delisting initiatives.
Coordinate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure execution of category initiatives and support channel initiatives across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce.
Track category KPIs and prepare dashboards, reports, and performance reviews while monitoring competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Coordinate the execution of POSM deployments, including CTUs, shelf talkers, posters, and gondolas, and evaluate their effectiveness in trade.
Conduct on-ground coaching of merchandisers and support the execution of planograms, Must Stock Lists (MSL), shelf strategies, and category priorities to enhance in-store visibility and share of shelf.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is preferred
3–5 years of experience in FMCG marketing, category management, brand management, or trade marketing
Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
Strong understanding of FMCG categories, shopper behavior, and channel dynamics
Strong understanding of pricing, promotions and margins
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with strong planning and follow-through skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
