Senior Officer – Finance
The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:
- Affiliation with a recognized professional accounting body or a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
- More than 02 Years PQE.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm or Power Sector will be given added consideration.
- Experience of billing for IPPs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tariff structure and IPP billing procedures.
- Knowledge of financial models and future projections.
- Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
The main responsibilities of the position will involve:
- Prepare Energy, Capacity, Delayed Payment, and other invoices for submission to the Power Purchaser.
- Submit invoices via the CPPA-G online supplier portal.
- Compile Monthly and Quarterly Indexation Applications for onward submission to the Regulator.
- Record all transactions and receipts in the ERP system using the Accounts Receivable (AR) module.
- Generate management reports related to revenue and receivables.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including accruals and audit facilitation.
- Prepare documentation, reconciliations, and explanatory notes as requested by NEPRA to support tariff adjustments.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather required information and documentation.
- Liaise with government institutions to obtain approvals for indexations, invoices, fund allocations, and related matters.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks related to reporting and receivables as assigned by management.
