Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and diligent Center Pivot Operator to maintain, operate, and manage our center pivot irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CP systems, a strong understanding of irrigation principles, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and problem-solving. You will play a critical role in ensuring our crops receive optimal water, directly impacting the farm’s productivity and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation & Monitoring: Operate and monitor multiple center pivot irrigation systems according to the farm’s irrigation schedule.

Maintenance & Repair: Perform daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance on pivots, including lubricating gears, checking tire pressure, inspecting sprinklers, and aligning spans.

Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field to minimize downtime (, fixing flat tires, unclogging sprinklers, repairing drive units).

System Checks: Conduct regular inspections of the entire system, from the pump station and power source to the end gun, ensuring everything is functioning efficiently.

Water Management: Work with the farm manager to ensure accurate water application based on crop needs and weather conditions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience (min. 2-3 years) as a Center Pivot Operator or in a similar farm machinery maintenance role.

Basic understanding of electrical systems (VFD drives, control panels) is a strong advantage.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong sense of responsibility.

Physical fitness to work long hours in an outdoor farm environment, in all weather conditions.

Willingness to be on call for emergency repairs outside of normal working hours.

Honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

A technical diploma or certification in mechanics, agriculture, or a related field.
