MIDDLE MANAGEMENT POSITIONS – LEGAL

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Legal support on matters as required by the management and various functions of the Company, including:

• Corporate governance issues and corporate compliance matters. Representations before regulatory authorities and various other forums.

• Contract drafting and negotiations such as sale and purchase agreements, NDAs, SLAs, bank guarantees, etc.

• Disputes (arbitration and litigation).

• Financing agreements.

• Responsible for structuring, drafting and reviewing reports and other legal documents.

• Provide legal advice, propose solutions on a wide variety of matters (commercial and civil law, labor law, PPRA, company laws, intellectual property laws, etc.).

• Serve as a liaison with business units, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations relevant to the industry.

• Handle/monitor corporate litigation, review pleadings before filing in the courts, maintain proper record/status of court cases and follow up with external lawyers in addition to negotiating professional fees with them.

• Review and draft all relevant contracts, agreements, letters/ proposals, etc. to ensure compliance with the prevailing laws & highlight issues that may have legal and statutory implications for the Company.

Education

• The candidate must have a Law Degree from a HEC-recognized Law University. Solicitor Bar-at-law, LL.M, would be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 6-8 years of overall experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 3-6 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently, having excellent interpretation and drafting skills.

• Excellent presentation, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.

Age

• The candidate should be preferably not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
