Competition Commission of Pakistan intends to hire the services of an experienced Project Director (one position) to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the CCP’s official Building Construction Project in Islamabad.
Qualifications and Requirements
- The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Project Management, or a related field from a reputable HEC-recognized local or foreign university.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, financial oversight, and project monitoring and evaluation.
- Candidates with experience in construction-related projects in public sector organizations will be given preference.
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of construction standards, safety protocols, and project management principles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project appraisal, investment programming, and financial management.
- Monitor project milestones, expenditures, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery while promptly resolving bottlenecks or constraints.
- Prepare independent progress reports covering quantity, quality, and timelines.
- Manage procurement processes, including hiring contractors and acquiring materials.
- Ensure compliance with contract provisions, contractual dispute resolution, and project documentation.
- Verify contractual payments related to the project.
- Correspond with project consultants and contractors to ensure contract compliance.
- Ensure technical, contractual, and financial compliance of project contracts.
- At project completion, prepare a consolidated project completion report as per the Commission’s requirements.
Age Limit & Contract Period
- Age Limit: 48-55 years (including 5 years general age relaxation).
- Contract Period: Initially for two years (extendable as per requirement and subject to satisfactory performance).
