JOB OPPORTUNITY: Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Technical Advisor, MP-I scale, on a contract basis in the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. The position will be filled strictly on merit, in a transparent manner.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Required Educational Qualification and Experience:
Ph.D. degree in Ports/Shipping/Naval Sciences/Maritime Sciences/Maritime Business & Management from a globally recognized university/HEC with at least fourteen (14) years of professional experience or a Master’s degree in relevant subjects with 18 years of experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit:
Maximum = 62 years (to be calculated as on the closing date of submission of applications).
Tenure of Contract:
The tenure of the Technical Advisor shall be initially for a period of three (03) years further extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years on an annual (yearly) basis, subject to satisfactory performance.
Termination of Contract:
The contract of the Technical Advisor may be terminated by one month’s notice on either side or payment of one month’s basic pay in lieu thereof.
Pay Package:
The Technical Advisor shall receive a pay package of MP-I Scale in accordance with the Management Position Scale Policy.

i. Persons having requisite experience and qualification should submit their applications along with their CVs and attested photocopies of the testimonials including CNIC and one recent passport size photograph to Deputy Secretary (A&P), Ministry of Maritime Affairs, 8th Floor, Kohsar Block, Pak Secretariat, Islamabad by 02-09-2024 (Monday) during office hours.

ii. The application form and detailed Terms of Reference (TORs)/Job Description for the position can be downloaded from the website www.moma.gov.pk. Candidates can also apply on https://nip.gov.pk/.

iii. The applicants working in Government/Semi-Government Departments or Autonomous Bodies should obtain NOCs from their parent organizations.

iv. Only eligible applicants will be invited for an interview.

v. The eligibility/selection of the candidate shall also be examined in the light of the existing MP Scale Policy-2020 placed on the website of the Ministry.

vi. Applications which do not fulfill the above-mentioned criteria or those received after the due date and time will not be entertained.

vii. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates.
