Career Opportunities in Petroleum Industry: A Karachi-based Petroleum Refining Unit is seeking suitable candidates for the following positions. The prospective candidates are expected to be dynamic, highly motivated, result-oriented, and have a proven track record of integrity with a vision to deliver in a challenging work environment meeting the following criteria:

1. Manager HR

• Qualification: MS/MBA/MPA in Human Resource Management. Additionally, having a certification in HR will be given preference.
• Required Experience: 15-20 years of relevant experience. Proven work experience as an HR Manager or in a similar senior management role. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data-driven decision-making. Excellent leadership abilities and strategic planning skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

2. Lead Engineer

• Qualification: BE/BS in Chemical from any recognized university.
• Required Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience of operating refinery units especially CDU, VDU, CDS, NHT, ISOM, Reformers, Fuel oil cracking, Naphtha production units in Technical Services. Experience of Operations will be plus point.

3. Engineer

• Qualification: BE/BS in Chemical from any recognized university.
• Required Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.

4. Lead Research Engineer

• Qualification: PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• Required Experience: 12 years of experience in research project, consultancy role with experience in feasibility studies, Aspen Hysys simulation and equipment sizing, front end engineering design development, Refinery PFD, P&ID development and conceptual studies, Hydraulics and safety studies.

5. Chemist

• Qualification: MSc/BS petroleum/Chemistry from any recognized university.
• Required Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in conducting control testing of petroleum products as per ASTM, UOP and IP standards.

6. Finance Executive

• Qualification: CA finalist/ACCA qualified.
• Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from MNCs and articles completed from big 4 companies.

7. Accounts Assistant

• Qualification: BBA (Hons) from any recognized university.
• Required Experience: 2-5 years of experience. Petty cash handling, Sales Tax, Income Tax, MS Office, Book keeping, Fixed Assets.

8. Supervisor

• Qualification: DAE chemical from any recognized Board of Technical Education.
• Required Experience: Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in the same role.

9. Operator

• Qualification: DAE chemical from any recognized Board of Technical Education.
• Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in operating and controlling refinery unit like distillation, NHT, Reformer, ISOM, Furnaces, Reactors, DCS and associated equipment to meet production targets while maintaining safety protocols.

10. Technician (DAE)

• Qualification: DAE in:
  • Instrumentation
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical (Rotary, Stationery, Rigger, Pipe fabricator, Pipe Fitter, Multi-Welder)
• Required Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience. Applicants with experience in the Oil & Gas sector will be given preference.

11. Firefighter

• Qualification: DAE in Chemical/Intermediate with firefighting certificate.
• Required Experience: 2-3 year of relevant experience. Dealing with firefighting activities. Ensuring proper maintenance of fire detection & firefighting equipment.

12. Supervisor

• Qualification: Diploma in Hotel Management or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized university with relevant certification.
• Required Experience: 7-10 years of experience in running a guest house, preferably with man management or hotel management.
