We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager Supply Chain – Planning to join our Head Office located in Karachi.
Job Description:
- Coordinate with relevant business units for the import / purchase of raw materials, spares and other items.
- Search for vendors/suppliers for the purchase of requisite items as per purchase requisition.
- Collect quotations from suppliers to procure materials/items at competitive prices and determine product availability, price, terms and conditions of the purchase transactions and other necessary details.
- Negotiate the price with suppliers and prepare purchase order.
- Ensure that item supplied by vendor is as per specifications and requirements of user department and in line with purchase orders.
- Prepare the estimated cost sheet for imports, make entry into the ERP and generate purchase order for approval.
- Arrange transportation of imported raw material from port to the factory locations.
- Coordinate with banks, clearing agents, service providers, insurance companies and other external parties.
- Check and verify the correctness and accuracy of purchase invoices.
- Carry out demand planning for all business units.
- Support the preparation of departmental budget and strategies.
- Remain up to date with market trends and/or any major events that can cause supply chain/price disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
- Carry out data analysis for performance and market intel.
- Develop dashboards and manage databases.
- Support in MIS development and reporting.
- Support the implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
