Jubilee Life Insurance is looking for:

Title : Internal Auditor – Assistant Manager
Job Type : Full-time (Permanent)
Department : Internal Audit
Location: Karachi
Education: ACCA/ CA Finalist (CIA will be a plus)
Experience: Min 03 years experience in internal audit / Articleship from Big4 audit firm in internal audit/ consultancy/ advisory services

Skills : Adequate understanding of risk and control concepts and ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls.

Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision
Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
Strong analytical capability
Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem solving
Demonstrated job commitment and personal flexibility to meet changing expectations

Job Duties:

Planning:

Performing overall planning, execution and finalization of Internal Audit of varied business processes.
Conduct opening meetings with the auditees
Develop a thorough understanding of business processes in scope for assigned audits and document the processes in flowcharts and/or process narratives where required.
Developing Risk & Control Assessment Matrix for various business processes.

Fieldwork:

Developing a risk based audit program.
Perform audit tests and prepare adequate working papers where required.
Evaluate the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives.
Analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations and management policies and procedures and provide evidential support for findings.
Propose practical and value added recommendations to address control weaknesses and/or process inefficiencies.
Conduct closing meetings with auditee at the end of fieldwork.

Reporting:

Prepare concise and informative audit points/ issue sheets to effectively communicate the findings and recommendations

Other Responsibilities:

Contribute to the safeguarding of corporate assets and ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
Develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization, including Senior Management.
