Office of Project Director, 230-Coaches, Railways Carriage Factory, Sector I/11, Islamabad

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment against the following vacant posts in the PSDP Project “Procurement / Manufacture of 230 Passenger Coaches” located at Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory Islamabad. The posts are to be filled purely on a contract basis initially for a period of two years on Standard Pay Package 2022 for PSDP funded Project staff as per eligibility criteria mentioned against each:

CWI/ HTXR (PPS-06)

Vacant Post: 01
Quota: Open Merit
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric 2nd Division + DAE Mechanical.
Retired from Pakistan Railways in BS-16.
20-25 Years field experience in Maintenance of Rolling Stock.
Age Limit: 60-62 Years (Male)

CNC Machine Operator (PPS-04)

Vacant Post: 02
Quota: Open Merit
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric with Science (at least 2nd Division).
DAE/Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Technology at least 2nd Division from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
At least one year experience as CNC Machine Operator.
Preference will be given to candidates having more than one year on hand experience and trained/certified from recognized professional institute.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years

Certified Welder (PPS-04)

Vacant Post: 04
Quota: Punjab (including Federal Area of Islamabad) 2, Sindh-Rural 1, KPK 1
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric with Science (at least 2nd Division).
1 or 2 years Diploma in welding from Technical Institute recognized by Provincial Board of Technical Education.
Preferably trained from Pakistan Welding Institute Islamabad or from any Govt. recognized Institution.
At least 03 years experience in welding.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years

Skilled Welder (PPS-02)

Vacant Post: 22
Quota: Open Merit 2, Punjab (including Federal Area of Islamabad) Rural 3, Urban 3, Sindh Rural 3, Urban 1, KPK 3, FATA 1, Baluchistan 3, AJK 1
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric (at least 2nd Division).
01 Year Diploma/Certificate in welding issued by the Technical Training Institute recognized by board of Technical Education.
02 Years’ experience in relevant field from Reputable Organization.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years

Skilled Fitter/Painter (PPS-02)

Vacant Post: 35
Quota: Open Merit 3, Punjab (including Federal Area of Islamabad) Rural 6, Urban 6, Sindh Rural 3, Urban 2, KPK 4, FATA 2, Baluchistan 2, AJK 1
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric (at least 2nd Division).
Minimum 02 years experience in relevant field from reputable organization.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years

Driver (PPS-02)

Vacant Post: 01
Quota: Open Merit
Eligibility Criteria:

Matric.
Must have LTV/HTV valid license.
Must have at least 02 years experience in relevant field.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years

Age Relaxation

General Age Relaxation in upper age limit on the closing date for receipt of applications is admissible as per Government Rules.
The age of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Urban/Rural & Baluchistan is relaxed for 3 years in addition to general relaxation.
In the case of Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit is relaxable to the extent of 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less.

Terms & Conditions / Instructions for Candidates

Application form can be downloaded online from Pakistan Railways website www.pakrail.gov.pk or collected from the office of the Assistant Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory, Islamabad during working hours.
Applicants can apply for more than one post as per qualification requirements. However, separate applications have to be submitted for each post.
Applicants shall submit their applications along with attested copies of all Educational/Technical certificates/documents, experience certificate, character certificate, domicile, CNIC, 02 recent passport size photographs & 02 envelopes with postal address & register which shall be delivered to the office of undersigned through registered post/courier services/by-hand within 20 days after the issue of advertisement.
Eligibility and candidates will be determined based on the applicant’s qualification, experience, practical test, and interview.
Government employees shall apply through proper channels.
Applications submitted after the due date shall not be entertained.
Incomplete applications shall not be entertained.
Original documents must be presented by the candidates at the time of the interview.
The service is purely on a contract basis and no regularization in the future.
The candidates selected shall be required to:
i. Pass prescribed medical examination.
ii. Be cleared by Security Agencies.
The following quota will also be observed:
i. 5% quota is fixed for minorities/non-Muslims in all categories.
ii. 1% quota is fixed for Orphans in all categories.
iii. 10% quota is fixed for ex-servicemen.
iv. 20% quota for son/daughter of Railways employees including 2% fixed for son/daughter of Railways deceased employees.
In case any information furnished by the candidate is found fake or bogus, the candidature of that candidate shall stand cancelled and legal action shall be taken accordingly.
No TA/DA will be admissible.
The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application/applications without assigning any reason and may also alter the number of vacancies.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview.
