Job Summary
This role is responsible for business development, identifying new avenues to scale and diversify PMIC portfolio, developing and offering new financial products and services to the PMIC borrowers along with identifying and onboarding new borrowers that can support PMIC’s objectives. The role also entails managing micro-credit portfolio of PMIC borrowers, developing and overseeing credit proposals, financial analytics & portfolio assessment, managing disbursement, repayments, and coordination with other departments/stakeholders for reporting and data sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the COO in developing new financial products and strategies for scaling up and diversifying PMIC’s wholesale business and implementation of the PMIC strategy and in achieving departmental and organizational targets and goals.
- Identifying and capturing opportunities at borrowers for introducing bonds, commercial papers, guarantees and advisory services for helping them access capital markets, financiers and investors.
- Building capacity of the team in better and efficient management of the wholesale business and managing relationships with the borrowers and stakeholders.
- Developing models for assessing business and institutional risks for PMIC and its borrowers.
- Contribute to the transition of PMIC and borrowers’ portfolio to Shariah Compliant products.
- Conduct and manage due diligence, monitoring and handholding of borrowers through desk reviews, field visits and meetings leading to finalizing credit proposals for approval by senior management and Board.
- Build capacity of microfinance institutions, who are clients of PMIC, by supporting them in developing and improving their policies & procedures, employee professionalism and customer outreach.
- Ensure timely disbursements and repayments to and from borrowers and managing relationships with borrowers, potential borrowers and other stakeholders in the microfinance space.
Education: BSc/Masters or MBA (Finance and/or Accounting) having other professional qualification would be added advantage.
Experience : 8-10 years in a Financial Institution with experience in credit programs / assessment / monitoring.
