We operate a state-of-the-art pulverized coal-fired power plant and are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer – Mechanical (Steam Turbine – High Pressure) to join our team.
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – Mechanical to manage the mechanical operations, maintenance, and optimization of high-pressure steam turbines at our power plant. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of steam turbines while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Steam Turbine Operation & Maintenance
Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of high-pressure steam turbines.
Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance programs.
✅ Technical Expertise
Provide expert guidance on lubrication, vibration analysis, and thermal expansion of high-pressure turbines.
Analyze turbine performance data and recommend corrective actions.
✅ Project Management
Plan and oversee mechanical projects, including turbine upgrades, retrofits, and overhauls.
Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for seamless project execution.
✅ Compliance & Safety
Ensure all turbine-related activities comply with local and international safety regulations.
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to prevent hazards.
✅ Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians, promoting continuous improvement.
Conduct training sessions on turbine operation and maintenance best practices.
✅ Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of maintenance, performance metrics, and incidents.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or turbine-related certifications are a plus).
📌 Experience: Minimum 8 years in mechanical engineering at coal-fired power plants, with 5+ years in high-pressure steam turbines.
🔧 Technical Skills:
Expertise in high-pressure steam turbine design, operation, and maintenance.
Proficiency in diagnostic tools, vibration analysis, and performance monitoring software.
Knowledge of ASME codes, ISO certifications, and industry standards.
