Position: Senior Assistant Engineer – Mechanical
Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance activities at the combined cycle power plant to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations. Maintain all equipment and accessories in neat, clean and serviceable condition. Carry out frequent survey of the area, monitor physical and operational conditions of the equipment and machinery. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on mechanical systems and make necessary repairs. These responsibilities should be carried out with the objective to ensure maximum usability of the equipment to gain maximum output to meet performance targets within the limits of organization’s established SOP’s, policies, departmental objectives, organization’s HSEQ guidelines, quality assurance guidelines, EHS standards and directions/guidelines from supervisor.
Education & Relevant Experience:
- Diploma in Mechanical Technology
- At least 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer or Power sector
Knowledge
- Troubleshooting, breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance of high-speed turbomachinery
- Routine maintenance activities on mechanical systems at the combined cycle power plant
- Maintenance documentation and Permit systems
- Installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and systems
