Manager Health Safety & Environment (HSE)
Jamshoro Power Company Limited (JPCL) located at Jamshoro is primarily responsible for generating electricity efficiently and managing the Operation & Maintenance of the Power Plant as per best utility practices in the best interest of the country. JPCL under its supervision is currently involved in the successful commissioning of the 660 MW Coal Fired Power Project. JPCL is seeking a high caliber energetic, pro-active, result oriented professional to work as Manager Health Safety & Environment (HSE) in the Company to be based at Jamshoro (Sindh) and the HSE Officer is to be a part of the Middle Management team, who can take on the challenging assignments effectively.

JOB PROFILE:
Manager HSE shall ensure implementation of HSE procedures & workplace safety protocols / SOP.
Perform Risk Assessment of all departments of Power Plants.
Liaison & coordinate with Regulators, EPA & other stakeholders / agencies.
Ensure HSE Trainings to be conducted at Company level.
Ensure Emergency Response Planning (ERP) program effectively and manage Emergency Response Team (ERT) to handle emergency situations.
Investigate incidents & accidents, analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures.
Monitor the compliance with safety procedures that SOPs are implemented strictly.
Perform duties assigned by JPCL Management.
Coordination/ Liaison with Security, Fire Fighting, Medical and Rescue services providing personnel & departments.
Good Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and Local HSE standards.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The candidate must be possessing the following criteria:
BE/ BS in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Environmental
Diploma in NEBOSH / IOSH; OR NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC); OR OSHA Certificate OR another approved Safety/ HSE Certificate/ Diploma
General Instructor (GI) course from Civil Defense Pakistan
At least (12) years post qualification relevant experience in occupational HSE (Preference will be given to Power Plant experience professionals)

TENURE, REMUNERATION & AGE:
The assignment is purely on Contract basis initially for a period of two (02) years, extendable as per applicable rules and subject to satisfactory performance / need basis.
The selected candidate will work under the managerial control of the JPCL.
A negotiable market-based salary package will be offered to the selected candidate considering their qualification and experience.
Candidate should not be more than 45-years of age on the closing date of the receipt of CV/ application.
