Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Meat Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in hygiene/sanitation within a food or meat processing facility.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOPs, and food safety standards.
- Experience in supervising hygiene teams and managing sanitation schedules.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts at a plant site environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective cleaning and sanitation of slaughtering halls, deboning areas, chillers, blast freezers, and by-product (Dirty Yard) areas.
- Supervise post-operation sanitation of processing and deboning halls, equipment, and utilities.
- Maintain cleanliness of amenities buildings, offices, toilets, washrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure timely issuance and availability of clean uniforms and PPE for staff and visitors.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections and audits; report non-conformities and ensure corrective actions.
- Supervise, train, and monitor hygiene staff performance to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
- Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of reefer vans and containers prior to loading consignments.
- Maintain hygiene records, checklists, and documentation as per food safety requirements.
