Landscape Chemical Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Golf Course Maintenance: Responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all chemical-related turf management activities across the golf course.
Develop and implement chemical treatment programs for turf, greens, fairways, rough areas, and landscaped zones.
Plan and supervise the application of insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers according to approved agronomic schedules.
Manage rodent and pest control programs across the golf course premises. Monitor turf and soil conditions and adjust fertilizer and treatment plans accordingly.
Ensure proper chemical selection, dosage, mixing, and application methods.
Coordinate with the Senior Green Keeper and maintenance team on treatment timing and turf recovery plans.
Support disease and weed identification and establish preventive control measures.
Enforce strict PPE use during chemical handling and application.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies.
Report any chemical incidents, spills, or exposure cases immediately and lead corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, or related field with minimum five to six years of experience in relevant field.
Experience in turf, landscape, or agricultural chemical management preferred.
Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and integrated pest management practices.
Understanding of HSE standards related to chemical handling.
Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
Ability to supervise field staff and coordinate with maintenance teams.

Work Environment: Outdoor field environment across golf course areas, with regular exposure to turf maintenance operations and controlled chemical applications.
